Brooks Koepka on Tiger waiting to congratulate him

There’s only one word to describe Tiger Woods waiting to congratulate Brooks Koepka after the 2018 PGA Championship when Koepka was inspired to play golf because he watched Woods growing up.


That’s what Koepka told Dan Patrick on Friday (around the 3:15-minute mark):

“To hang around there on 18, I know he finished about 30 minutes before, but to hang around … I wasn’t expecting it. It was probably the coolest gesture he could have done. It was fun going toe-to-toe with him and Adam Scott, the two guys I looked up to my entire life, to battle it out with them, if you had told me when I was 12 years old that would have happened, that would have been a dream come true.”

Patrick also found out that Koepka’s three major trophies are on his kitchen counter and told him he should post them on social media, which Koepka did after his interview:
